Grand Profession
“but now alas,
All measure, and all language, I should pass,
Should I tell what a miracle she was”
June
We arranged the chess pieces
on a silver serving tray
as a mingled array of white and black
for corresponding squares - so that,
despite my efforts, the Queen could not attack...
Surprisingly Euphoric Moments
Come with me, friend,
though the fingers of the trees stretch long,
we see light along the way.
Come along, street lights alone can amend,
pool of beauty leave woes forlon
and flickering musings stay.
Follow us, gentle music.
This journey seeks no end.
Carry with us the gift our lights sent.
In the end, my smile and reality might not fit,
but it is in this hours melodies that I depend
to love, cherish and to reflect
this surprisingly euphoric moment.
